Color Club Pucci-licious

Good morning (or afternoon to some of you)!! I know I usually post about older polishes but I had to make an exception for this one!

This is Color Club Pucci-licious. It is a gorgeous violet purple which borders on being neon. I could not for the life of me take an exact color match photo. It is deeper in tone and a little brighter IRL. This photo, unfortunately, is a little washed out from the bright sun.
This is from one of the new lines that Color Club put out a few weeks ago. I BOUGHT THIS because I love purple and most of the CC's I have I love. CC's always apply very nicely for me. The formula for this was one of those new thick and runny oxymoron hybrids but it was not impossible to work with.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday. I'm ready to relax somemore and enjoy good food today!!

Illamasqua MILF

Happy Thursday...or at least it is for me! Only one more day of work and I will be free to sleep in and stay up late...for 2 days. Anyhow, ON TO THE POLISH!
This is Illamasqua MILF. I love the Illamasqua formulas. Very easy to work with and I love the bottle shape. Too bad they are slightly smaller than a regular polish but the formula and colors make up for that.
This is 2 coats. The 1st coat was a streaky mess but the 2nd coat made me forget all about that. The color looks a bit more puke-y in the bottle but turns into a nice, creamy pastel mint on the nail. I got this as a RAOK from a very generous fellow nail polish freak! I am so glad it has made it's way into my collection.
Have a great Friday!!

Quirius Eggplant + OPI My Private Jet

Ok, this is a total I'm-too-lazy-to-do-my-nails manicure! All I had to do was add a single thin coat of OPI MPJ and voila!!
This is the charcoal based holo shimmer MPJ. I love how it darkened Eggplant but still let a little of the purple peek through. It's a perfect vampy holo color for me.
WHY did OPI change the formula on this? That is the $1,000,000 question! This was taken under a too bright daylight lamp because it's raining here today. I've actually had this on for 3 days now. I put 1 coat of MPJ over the existing color and 1 coat of the Supply Source "David" top coat. I have not had any chips or shrinkage and very minimal tipwear.
Enjoy your Wednesday everyone!!

Quirius Eggplant

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is recovering nicely from hangovers, overeating or staying up too late...I know I am recovering from at least 2 of these!
I was in the mood for a bright, glowy purple today and I just happened to have this sitting on my counter! This is Quirius Eggplant. 2 coats and under murky sunlight (its slightly overcast here today, getting ready for the next round of rain)

I had never heard of Quirius polishes until a couple of months ago. I have 2 of them but after using this I think I'll be looking for more. The formula is nice though slightly thick. The application was easy and smooth and required minimal clean up.
I went online today to see if I could get some more of these but sadly the online store is down until 4/10/10. If you're interested you can still view the website and see what other colors will be available. www.qnail.com
I am in no way affiliated with Quirius or qnail. The polish I used for this post was obatined through a trade on MUA and I did not purchase it.
Hope you all have a great week!!

NARS Tokaido Express

Hi again!!
Today I bring to you my one and only NARS polish...Tokaido Express! This is a deep red toned purple shimmer. Beautiful!!!

I love me a square bottle! Fits so nicely in my storage drawers.
This is 2 coats. The sun is pretty sucky here today because it rained last night and is partly cloudy today...this picture will have to do for now.
The formula on this was very nice. The brush is just the right size and applies the polish evenly. *sigh* I guess I need some more of these.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

OPI La Boheme

Whoa there pretty lady!

This here is OPI La Boheme. I believe it came out in one of the holiday collections maybe around 2007-ish...not 100% sure. One thing I am 100% sure about is that this polish is BEAUTIFUL! Easily one of my top 10's.
This is 2 coats. This is old formula OPI so it applied itself practically. This has a very pretty duochrome finish which is very noticable in the bottle but sadely not so much on the nail. The bottle flashes red, burgundy, gold, orange, gold, green and bronze depending on the light source. On my nails I can only see the red, burgundy and a touch of orange or gold at times. Regardless, I still love it.

Where, oh where did my winter go?!?!
So, today was a little bit cooler than the day before...74 degrees. BOOOOOO!!!! I want my winter back! The only good thing about the weather right now is the sun being out in full force. This, my friend, means I can wear holos with confidence!
Today was a perfect day for an OPI DS. This is DS Exclusive. It's a beautiful deep berry/fuchsia...bordering on purple. The holo DS' are gorgeous and throw a beautiful holo rainbow everytime you move your hand. Again, another very distracting polish.
How is your winter weather? Hopefully where ever you are you are safe and enjoying it!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Hope everyone is having a day full of roses and hearts and love!
For V-Day I chose a bright, cheery pink. It just seemed appropriate! This is Sally Hansen Salon Cherry Nice. Cherry nice indeed!! I love the Salon bottles and the formula works really well for me. This is 2 pretty thin coats. It applied evenly and the brush is very easy to work with. Boy, I am going to miss this Salon line *sigh*
Enjoy your day today and you day off tomorrow (if you're lucky enough to have the day off form work that is!)

The weather here is gorgeous today. The temperature got up to 80! I thought it was still winter...WTF?!?! At least the sunny weather makes for really good picture taking. With that being said I thought it was a perfect opportunity to bring out the holo!
This is 2 coats of Color Club Revvolution. I have not met a CC I haven't liked yet. They all apply so smooth and even and dry pretty quick. Hope you all enjoyed your day off if you were fortunate to be off. Back to the grind tomorrow!!

Massini Purple Medallion

Massini Purple Medallion

Hiyo!! So, it's Valentine's weekend and I am stuck at home with a bit of a headache. Well, maybe not stuck...more like recovering in the comfort of my own home!
This is a mani from last week. This is Massini Purple Medallion (DUH! Like you can't read the label!!) This was pretty smooth to apply and took only 2 coats to be completely opaque and even. It has tons of holo glitter in it but it reads a little red IRL. This is possibly due to the slightly jelly base. Whatever was going on with in didn't affect my love for it! So sparkly and distracting the way a good holo glitter should be!
Hope you are all having a nice weekend!!

This may look like a regular blackened red/maroon shimmer in this picture but, like I said, I could not get an accurate photo of this in any light. The base is black but it has multichome shimmer in it. It flashes red, bronze, green and purple. It is one of the most amazing polishes I can proudly say I now own!!
Unfortunately, this line is long gone...bye-bye! A wonderful and generous friend overseas happened to scrape one of these up for me. I will forever be indebted to her!!!

Ok, I know I said I was going to post something super amazing that I got in the mail BUT, I unfortunately had a bit of a fail and had to redo it this evening. I want to have some sun tomorrow to take proper pictures so I will have to put it off for 1 more day.
Instead, I have a Konad design I did a few months back. The base is Illamasqua Rampage. This is definitely one of my top 10 polishes so far. Dark green jelly and it applied like a dream. The stamp design is done with China Glaze DV8. This was the first photo of a Konad that I took because it was the 1st time I had a stamp come out decent. I still Konad but I am not as brave to take photos as evidence!!
Glad Wednesday has breezed by! Now only 2 more days to get us to the weekend. Anyone have any good Valentine's Day plans?

This is Blue Light from Color Club. It is a very bright, almost neon, baby blue creme. Unfortunately, the brightness of it did not translate well in the photo as it is much brighter IRL! The formula on most CC cremes have been excellent for me. This was a tad streaky but evened out after the 3rd coat. This would make a great spring mani!!
Today I got THE MOST AMAZING polish in the mail from a wonderful and generous Aussie friend. I plan to post my new beauty tomorrow and hope there is enough sun to catch all the gorgeousness that is in this polish. I can't wait!!!

WHO DAT??!! Game day and I've got my game day mani on!! Main color is Avon Golden Twilight. Ring fingers have a coat of OPI Thrills in Beverly Hills top coat, ArtDeco gold glitter stripes and a fleur de lis decal. I kicked myself for passing on the Konad plate with the fleur de lis on it because it would have been perfect for today!! Good luck to The Saints today!! Let's do this!!

Enough sad...on to the polish!! This is Indigo Chic. It's a nice, creamy, deep blurple that has a tiny bit of hidden blue shimmer in the bottle. The shimmer does not sho up on the nail though.
I love these old Express FInish polishes. They smell faintly of grape candy to me.
I'm working on my Big Game mani this evening and hope to have it ready to post before the game starts tomorrow! GO TEAM!!

Don't tell me to take a sleeping pill either-they make me kinda nuts! So, I think I will post my pretty I wore today, head down to the kitchen and grab a cookie and a cup of hot honey/lemon water then try to settle in!
This here is an older Milani from who knows when! It's called Good Girl Grape...makes me wonder what Bad Girl Grape would look like because this reminds me of a bad girl color.
This is 3 coats. Was a bit streaky on the 1st 2 but evened nicely on the 3rd. I think this is a jelly because IRL it still hass a touch of that transluscent quality that all jelly's have. Sooooo, I guess that would make this a jelly? It's been raining all day so this was taken under a daylight lamp. The lamps washed the color out just a touch as it is a little deeper/richer IRL.
Good night...good morning...tomato...tomatoe...blegh!!!

Santee Neon Sapphire + CND Sapphire Sparkle

Hello there!
Here is a layered mani because I did not feel like changing colors last night! This is a coat of CND Sapphire Sparkle over Santee Neon Sapphire. It was impossible to catch the purple flash to this in a photo...believe me, it's there though!
This is the 2nd CND effects I have tried. This one is way better than Jade Sparkle IMHO.
Not sure what is up next...I just finished updating my spreadsheet and was a little overwhelmed with my choices.

Well, actually less than a buck because they were $1 or 6/$5. I got 6 because I couldn't pass up the deal. This is 3 coats. It has a jelly finish to it and is super glossy. I'm not wearing a top coat here. I'm sure it would be even shinier if I put a t/c. The application on this was super smooth and the formula was very easy to work with. I have a nice little collection of Santees which I have been neglecting...I plan on changing that! I ended up topping this with CND Sapphire Sparkle but I'll save that for tomorrow because it's a whole 'nother level of amazing IMO!!
Happy Wednesday! So glad the weekend is almost here because I'm looking forward to the "big footbal game to determine the #1 team in the leauge" on Sunday. Who are you rooting for? You'll see my pick when I unveil my mani this weekend!

I was very fortunate to have swapped for this on MUA from a very generous lady. Otherwise, I would not have it as it is not available in stores...that I know of. You may be able to find it on ebay but be prepared to pay a pretty penny.
So, back to the polish! This is 2 coats. IRL you can really see the depth to the jelly-ness. It is a blue toned red/berry on me. I am having a little bit of a love affair with cremes and jellies right now. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about a mean glitter and a dazzling holo but I'm hooked on creme right now and jellies are making me swoon too!
Where's my thumb you may be asking...I have a small tear on the right side of the nail that is too low to cut and does not want to behave right now. I just cut my nails down last week and will likely cut them down again once the tear grows out a little more. My nails aren't behaving right now so I'm trying to figure out whats causing them stress. I just thinned my base coats a few weeks ago...wonder if that is the culprit??? We'll see as I cracked open new bottles of all my treatments.

Maybelline Exp Finish: Bronze Beam

Hey, Hey, Hey!!
I know I said it before but I'll say it again...I really missed having a computer. Doing internet stuff on my phone and through the PS3 were just not the same! I feel like I have a little piece of my life back!

I recently went on a brown kick. Searching my stash for browns, I realized I didn't have that many compared to some of my other colors. I did find this beauty in my Maybelline drawer. This is an oldie but goodie from Dollar Tree. Gorgeous bronzey brown with bronze glitter. Loved it!

Just a quickie for today!

This is an OLD picture of me wearing a very non traditional (for me!!) color! This is OPI Bubble Bath. Man, my nails were long here. Not sure if I like them that long anymore. This is 3 coats. There is still VNL!! Actually, this isn't that bad. It made my hands look really clean. Also, seeing as this is an older picture, I can see that my picture taking skills have improved just a tiny bit.

Sorry I've been away so long. My computer was out of buisness and I finally got it back on Saturday. I have quite a few NOYD's (Nail Of YesterDays!) saved up so I should have plenty of ammo for a week or 2!

Have a great week everyone!
