OPI Do You Lilac It? I DO!!

Happy Friday all!!

This was my mani yesterday...OPI Do You Lilac It. And yes, I "lilaced" it alot!! A gorgeous lavender creme! This was a dream to apply. I am usually ambivalent about OPI application because it has been hit and miss for me. This is 2 coats with no cleanup! The brush in this bottle was just perfect for my nails. Anyone know of other OPI's that have this same consistency? It's is a creme for sure but has a bit of a jelly-esque quality to it as well.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend!

LA Splash Hula Hula

Happy Thursday...almost Friday everyone!!
I bought this polish strictly for the name. I have a sweetheart of a dog named Hula and this color was so...not like her!
This is a bright but deep pinkish red. Very vibrant IRL and I actually loved it! This was my 1st time using an LA Splash polish. The formula and brush were decent and easy to use. I am looking forward to using some more cremes and brights as spring is here and summer is coming!! YAY!!

SH DS Twilight Teal + ORLY Shine Konad m78

Here is one of my rare Konad posts. I am a bit shy about my Konad skills but I thought this came out pretty decent! I used one of the new ORLY's- Shine- with plate m78. The design reminds me of a cake decoration where you run a toothpick tip through stripes on frosting to get this effect. This is a very fitting description because the DF said "that looks like fancy cake on your fingers!"

SH Twilight Teal

This has been a longtime lemming of mine since I first saw it on the MUA nail board. I believe this was a Canadian exclusive.

This is Sally Hansen Diamond Strentgh: Twilight Teal. I was lucky enough to get this from a very generous person in exchange for a little cash of course!!

2 thin coats with a layer of SV. This is not a true teal but more a deep navy with a hint of a teal sparkle...I swear it's in there if you really look!!
Have a great weekend!!

Like...OHMAHGAW!!

LOVELOVELOVE...L O V E!!! I love holo polishes! I especially love silver holo with purple holo being a close 2nd!! This here is China Glaze OMG. I wish they would re-release a new line of these in a few deeper jewel tone holos too...
This picture was actually taken 5 days after it was 1st applied. There were no touch ups or fresh top coats applied. This did start to show some very minor cracks but nothing unbearable. No chipping and miniscule tip wear evidence! I wore it so long because I couldn't stand to take it off!

Revlon Speed Dry Quicksand

...ok, this was all ready to be posted yesterday but it didn't for some reason. Here goes...

Manicure Monday!! Ok, that was lame...sorry.

Today is more like mediocre Monday! This is such a boring color but I still loved wearing it!

This is an old Revlon Speed Dry named Quicksand. A nude with a hint of shimmer. I was a little surprised I got as many compliments about this one as I did. I think people around me are so used to seeing me in brighter or more substantial colors. This is definitely not an everyday color but it was a nice change.

:o)

Nfu-Oh 569

Happy Saturday everyone!
Today's "yesterday" nail is actually a more recent release. This is Nfu-Oh 569.

I know alot of other blogs have featured this color but I can understand why...it is gorgeous! My ony compliant is the formula is a bit tricky to work with. This is 4 thin coats and it's still a little streaky in some spots.
Overall I really like the NFU-Oh line. They have some gorgeous colors and finishes. Last complaint (I promise) about this one is the price. These go for $12.50 each. The bottle is a little larger than a standard nail polish as it is 17ml rather than the usual 15ml. The bottle itself is gorgeous too! The top/brush looks like a lady in a bustier which laces up the back and the glass looks like the skirt to the dress. Very cute!

Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday!

BB Couture Erotic Night

Hi everyone! I'm back after a few days away. I've had a wish-I didn't-have-to-work kind of week!

Here is one of my yesterday mani's...BB Couture Erotic Night.

This is a gorgeous deep, vampy red jelly. BUT, if you look very closely, it has just the tiniest bit of shimmer hidden in there, Not sure if this is how it's supposed to look but this is how my bottle looks.
BB Coutures are a bit pricey IMO ($7-9) but are worth it to me as I feel there are some unique colors in their line.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

p.s. I bought this polish out of pocket. I am not affiliated with BB Couture or any sites that may feature or sell this line.

Go Green!

I have been feeling lazy and blah lately so I have'nt posted in a few days. Many changes at work which have caused more work...I'm not happy about it! Yeah, call the whambulance one me and hook me up to a vodka IV!!

This is an off brand called NDB. I have no idea what NDB stands for but I really like this polish! It's called Green Tea. It's a nice dusty green metallic foil.

This beauty is Chelsea Psycho Green. I love the number...666! So befitting of the name. I hear there are 2 versions of this possibly. This version is the slightly shimmery one. This is actually 1 coat over an existing mani (NYX Jungle whic I forgot to take any photos of!)

Hope you are all having a nice Saturday! It's raining here and I am thouroughly enjoying it!!

MBS Army

Over on the Makeupalley.com nail board, there is a theme color for manicures this week...that color is green! Here is my contribution for green week today.
This a MBS Army. This is 3 coats over OPI Barefoot in Barcelona. This polish was very sheer but when layered over a nude it shows it's true color. Beautiful shimmer which borders on a frost almost. Up close and personal it has tiny brown and gold micro shimmer particles which warms up the base army green a bit. The only bad thing is since this is an old polish it did not play well with the newer OPI and SV fast dry top coat.

A very well spent $0.50 (yes, only 50 cents!!)
Time to try out another untried green for tomorrow!!
